Mission
Inner-City Movement, Inc. is dedicated to the transformation of communities world-wide through direct Christ-centered arts intervention, production and education in the areas of dance, drama, music, media arts and technology.

Description
Inner-City Movement (aka ICMOVEMENT) is a multi-dimensional non-profit organization that has presented 40 productions and over 65 vignettes for over 20,000 of Philadelphia’s vulnerable and low income individuals. ICMovement has provided 15 organizations with training in all areas of the performing arts. The organization has worked with over 500 inner-city youth in arts related endeavors; motivating promising children, youth and young adults to access and develop their talents by providing theatrical performances, intense performing arts training, and by incorporating them into our professional level productions. ICMovement strives to cultivate people of wholeness, living lives of purpose in service to Jesus Christ and others. ICMovement in Theatre/Traveling Production Company: Equipped with a 20 foot trailer containing a 100 foot wide collapsible stage frame, and a full theatrical lighting system, ICMOVEMENT travels throughout the Greater Philadelphia area and its' surrounding cities.

Kingdom Academy (ICMovement in Mentoring): While developing their artistic abilities in a safe environment, youth develop essential life skills where high expectations are set, self-confidence is built, professional behavior is encouraged, negative attitudes and behaviors are confronted, and where friendship and support are abundant. Received a federal grant in 2007 for our work with at-risk inner city youth. ICMovement in Bible Study:The bible study is for Artists by Artists, with a focus on encouraging the biblical foundations of prayer, scriptural studies and fasting that are crucial to continual spiritual growth and insight. ICMovement in Collaboration:A partnership of faith-based and community organizations that is designed to strengthen their capacity to impact their communities. ICMovement International:ICMovement has a global vision of rejuvenating communities worldwide via the arts. First branch was established in July 2007 in Monrovia, Liberia.
