Mission
The Delaware Shakespeare Festival entertains and educates through engaging and innovative productions of classic theatre.

Description
Founded in 2003, DSF is a professional theatre company modeled after the thriving non-Equity theatres of New York, Washington and Philadelphia. The Festival itself is the main program and activity of the company, and our primary outlet for accomplishing our mission: bringing quality classical theatre to the masses. Productions are performed on a custom-created outdoor performance space on the picturesque grounds of Archmere Academy. DSF strives to make the play accessible, overcoming the language barrier so the context of the story can be appreciated by the modern audience. Moreover, the aim is to dispel the reputation that classical theatre is difficult to get through, by making the experience enjoyable and engaging.
