Mission
The mission of the Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts is to serve the University of Pennsylvania and the greater Delaware Valley region as a comprehensive performing arts center of national reputation, distinguished by a broad-based program of music, theatre, dance, arts education and outreach for adults and young people. The Annenberg Center serves the greater Philadelphia area and attracts over 175,000 people annually to Penn Presents' performances, as well as to numerous outside arts, university, civic and corporate events. In 1999, the Annenberg Center branded its professional performing arts series Penn Presents, representing its extended presence to venues outside the physical domain of the Annenberg Center, including Irvine Auditorium and the Iron Gate Theatre.

Founded in 1971, the Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts is a leading non-profit multi-disciplinary performance venue in Philadelphia offering a varied program of more than 170 performances each year through its professional performing arts arm Penn Presents.
