Bus Stop was written in the mid-1950’s by great American playwright, William Inge, and will be performed by a brilliant cast of Philadelphia Area and Lehigh Valley favorites. Bus Stop will run from September 10th to October 3rd at Montgomery Theater, 124 Main Street, Souderton, PA. Press Opening is Friday, September 11th at 8pm. For tickets and information, call 215-723-9984 x10 or visit MontgomeryTheater.org

During a howling snowstorm, a busload of weary travelers must hole up at a roadside diner until morning. A nightclub singer named Cherie has been kidnapped by a young cowboy who is ready to sling her over his shoulder and carry her, kicking and screaming, down the aisle. Overnight, the café owner and the bus driver explore a long overdue friendship, a middle-aged scholar faces his past and a small town girl gets her first taste of romance. This Inge classic opened on Broadway in 1955 and became an immediate commercial and critical success. Bus Stop was made into a popular Hollywood film in 1956 with Marilyn Monroe and was nominated for several awards, including a Best Supporting Actor Oscar nomination for Don Murray.
