One Dame Dazzling Diamond Anniversary- Brought to you in fabulous 3-D For Immediate Release: August 4, 2009
Scott F. Mason, impersonating Dame Edna, returns to Chapel Street Players with his sixth all new original comedy show "One Dame
Dazzling Diamond Anniversary- Brought to you in fabulous 3-D". The show celebrates the theatre's 75th season and will feature prizes, give-aways, and other special items in addition to the stand-up comedy. The show will not only poke fun at some of the history of our community theatre, but includes Mason's new comedic observations on health care, Facebook, Hollywood, and other facets of daily life in the United States (the Dame is an Aussie so she has a lot to share with her "possums" about American society). Mason was named "Funniest Male" (though dressed as the delicious Dame) at the 2008 Sunburst Convention of Tribute Artists, Look-a-Likes, and Celebrity Impersonators; and has previously written-performed the shows "One Dame Scary Halloween," "One Dame Tour of Delaware," and "One Dame Christmahanukwaanzaka." In addition, Mason's Da! me Impersonation has appeared at senior centers, corporate events, fund-raisers, and private parties throughout the tri-state area. The show is a must for fans and a definite night of entertainment for anyone new. The material is rated PG-13! The real Dame Edna (Barry Humphries) recently canceled her plan 2010 stop at the DuPont Playhouse so hopefully you will come see our next best thing! Performance dates are: September 11th, 12th, 18th and 19th at 8pm Matinee dates are: Saturday, September 12sth and Saturday, September 19th at 2pm All tickets for this event are $10 Call the CSP Box Office in early September at (302) 368-2248 to reserve your tickets and seats or go to the CSP Website (Chapelstreetplayers.org) and click on the "Ticket Leap" icon and reserve your tickets and seats immediately using a credit card.
