Montgomery Theater Junior will present "Ramona Quimby," a play based on the books of Beverly Cleary as part of the Access Education program. This show, performed on the theater's Project Stage, opens Friday, October 19 at 7:00 pm, and runs through October 28, 4:00 pm curtain. Unpredictable, exasperating, boisterous, and independent; that’s Ramona Quimby! Dramatized by Obie Award-winning playwright Len Jenkin, this play is as “today” as this morning’s newspaper. In a series of vignettes related by Beezus (Ramona’s older sister, Beatrice), we follow Ramona through her tumultuous third grade year. Miraculously, Ramona survives having to live with Beezus, her teacher’s wrath, the wedding of her favorite aunt to Howie’s goof-ball uncle, and spending afternoons with Howie’s crotchety old grandmother! As Ramona and Beezus grow though the year, they realize that no, life isn’t always fair, and yes, sometimes (just sometimes) it can be awfully good to have a sister!

The theater is located at 124 Main Street (Route 113), Souderton, PA, midway between Hillside Ave. and West Chestnut St. The Project Stage entrance faces the public lot behind the theater, where patrons may park for free. Ticket price is $8.00 for all ages.
