Act II Playhouse Appoints Three to Board of Directors For Immediate Release: July 15, 2007
Act II Playhouse has appointed three new members to their Board of Directors it was announced by Dr. Jay Rosan, Chairman of the Board. The trio includes Philip R. Albright, a community activist who has been honored by numerous regional organizations for his volunteer community service; Anita Kulick, President and CEO of Educating children for Parenting; and Jeffrey Weiss, Executive Vice President of Transcor, Inc. Mr. Albright, a Blue Bell resident is a retired engineer and insurance executive, having come to Philadelphia in 1977 as Vice President and Secretary of the Mutual Assurance Company and subsequently partner in the firm of Weeks-Worthington and Co. He earned a BS in civil engineering from Stanford University. Ms. Kulick, a Dresher resident, has been associated with Educating Children for Parenting since 2001. Prior to that she was associated with Abington Friends School as development director and in other positions. She earned a BS from Penn State and her Masters in Education from Beaver College (now Arcadia University). Jeffrey Weiss, of Philadelphia, has been in the warehousing, trucking and transportation business for 40 years. He has been an Act II subscriber since the theatre opened and, with his wife, is very active in promoting the arts in the Delaware Valley. He attended Penn State University. Act II Playhouse is Montgomery County’s premier professional theatre. It was incorporated as a non-profit theatre in August, 1998, and opened in April, 1999. The playhouse will launch its’ ninth full five-play season on September 28 with Tony Braithwaite starring in “Say Goodnight Gracie” the love, laughter and life of George Burns. In addition to theatrical productions Act II has actively involved in community programs, such as bringing theatrical experiences to area high school students and ongoing involvement in community-wide charitable causes. Act II Playhouse is located at 56 E. Butler Ave., Ambler, PA 19002.
