Act II Playhouse presents a compelling mystery for its third offering of the 2006-07 season. The play is “Scotland Road” by Jeffrey Hatcher and it is a fascinating story with possible links to the sinking of The Titanic. The run begins with previews on January 19 and continues until February 18.
It’s the 1990’s…a woman is rescued from the North Atlantic wearing 1900’s clothing and she will say only one word: Titanic. No one can believe her story but, by the play’s end, everyone’s identity will be in question. Mystery continues on the high seas in this chilling drama that will keep you on the end of your seat until the gripping conclusion.
The play stars Judith Lightfoot Clarke, Peter Schmitz, Cynthia Raff and Emma O’Donnell. It is being directed by 78-year-old Steve Blumenthal, the founder of Act II Playhouse and its current producing artistic director.
Previews begin January 19, with a dress rehearsal open to the community benefiting The Wissahickon Educational Opportunities Foundation on January l8. Opening night is January 26, followed by a reception nearby at Agavé Grille in Ambler. Tickets are on sale at the box office, 56 East Butler Avenue, Ambler, PA, online at www.act2.org, or by calling 215-654-0200.
