For Immediate Release: December 13, 2006
Media Contact: James Daly, Comic Energy Sketch Comedy Troupe, 215.514.7508

Comic Energy Sketch Comedy Troupe will continue their 7th season with a show entitled “Holiday Madness; A Sketch Comedy Extravaganza” Thursday night December 28th. The big holiday performance will take place at the Mill Creek Tavern (42nd and Chester Avenue) at 10pm.

Coming off their big Halloween show and the filming of their second episode that will accompany their previous pilot filmed in August, the troupe looks forward to showing off some of their new material as well as some of the crowd favorites.

“The show will feature some of the sketches that were included in episode 2, the previous pilot, and also some of our holiday favorites which have always pleased the crowd and have kind of become C.E. staples when December rolls around”, says Comic Energy Director James Daly.

This performance will also include “Ready Machete”. A band fresh out of Chester County that has played Comic Energy’s more recent performances to rave reviews.

“We have made some additions to the cast since Halloween that have not only given us the flexibility to accomplish new challenges they have added an entirely new dimension”, says Daly.

The cast includes Comic Energy mainstays Walter Threadgill, Mike Ford, Frank Fral, Nick Deluca, and James Daly who all have been with the cast throughout season six. Mixed with the summer additions of Patrick Reber, Katie Boyer, and Norman Schultz. And the latest additions of Lyndsey Myernick, Katy O’Leary, Megan Wieder, and Daniel Higbie; Daly believes he has the best cast in the city.

“The cast is as dynamic as it gets, you have veterans from all types of backgrounds, you have the young and eager. Our rookies look like they have been doing it for a long time. I believe we have the best show in the city. The writing is superb, rehearsals are out of this world, and the show, it’s more than just a show, it’s an event.”

Comic Energy fans should expect a show that not only has the comedic vibe that C.E. is most popular for, the show will also feature some new elements that the troupe plans on incorporating throughout the season.

The Mill Creek Tavern is host to many great events throughout the year, located at 42nd and Chester Avenue in University City.

Expect great times and great laughs that only the Comic Energy experience can provide. Celebrate the holidays with "The Attitude of the Philly". Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the door, or online at www.comicenergy.com.
