Barnstormers Theater Presents Taking Leave Written by Nagle Jackson Directed by Marsha Amato-Greenspan For Immediate Release: October 23, 2006
TAKING LEAVE is a rich dramatic comedy that provokes a great deal of compassionate laughter as the audience explores the world of Eliot Pryne. Dr. Pryne is a professor of English Literature with a specialty in Shakespeare being a leading authority on King Lear. As Lear does also, Dr. Pryne has three daughters, Alma, Liz and Cordelia. Decisions on “what to do with Dad” form the central event of this oddly comic, yet fully sympathetic play that deals with aging and the point in life when the children become the parents.
