It is with great pleasure that Delaware Theatre Company announces the appointment of Brad Taylor as the theatre’s new Director of Development. Mr. Taylor will be relocating from Milwaukee, Wisconsin where he was the founder and president of his own performing arts fundraising business, Taylor & Associates. Producing Director Anne Marie Cammarato says, “After a long, thorough search, Brad emerged as a strong candidate. During his recent interview at Delaware Theatre Company with staff and Board, his outstanding communication skills and strategic outlook were evident. We are confident his strengths will help to further DTC’s position within the Delaware arts community.”
As Founder and President of Taylor & Associates, Mr. Taylor grew his client base from one to twenty-five clients and staff of employees from one to thirty-five associates. He was responsible for all facets of running the business including administration, marketing, human resources, recruiting and hiring, and campaign development and strategies. In 2004 he sold his business and served as managing partner of TAYLAR Development.
Board President R. Thorpe Moeckel, Managing Principal at Moeckel Carbonell Associates, Inc. says, "Brad Taylor is an excellent addition to the already outstanding staff at the Delaware Theatre Company. He has a keen appreciation and knowledge of professional regional theatre and we at DTC feel particularly lucky to have him join us at this important time in our growth and development as Delaware’s pre-eminent professional theatre."
"I am excited about taking on the development challenges of DTC!” says Brad Taylor. “I am also extremely confident in the people, institutions and businesses of Wilmington and see nothing but opportunities that lie in their commitment to strengthening the cultural fabric of the community."
Delaware Theatre Company’s programs are made possible, in part, by grants from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Delaware Division of the Arts, a state agency committed to promoting and supporting the arts in Delaware. The Delaware Division of the Arts provides technical and financial assistance to artists and arts programs and serves as a clearinghouse for information on the arts.
