The Barnstormers and Ridley Park Fire Department present this special production as a salute to all First Responders. It is a true salute as it deals with how ordinary people handle themselves in extraordinary circumstances.
THE GUYS (based on the true story of an editor who meets a NYC Fire Captain who lost most of his men on September 11th). THE GUYS has humor and pathos and most overwhelmingly a sense of pride and honor that there are men and women in the world who are pleased and proud and who work hard to be our First Responders. "It has been my pleasure to work hard to bring these words and emotions to life on the stage," says director, Ruth K Brown.
The actor, Nike D'Argenio, is a Delaware resident, and he is brand new to The Barnstormers stage. Nick has been active in the community theatre scene for many years with many performance and directing credits. For the last few years Nick has served as the President of the Board of Directors at the Wilmington Drama League, a sister theater in Delaware. The actress, Marsha Amato-Greenspan is an accomplished actress with many stage credits and is currently serving as the President of The Barnstormers Board of Directors and also is a long-standing community theater activist.
