Magical Treat For The Entire Family On Stage At Bristol Riverside Theatre

For Immediate Release: July 5, 2006
Media Contact: David J. Abers, Bristol Riverside Theatre, 215.785.6664

Fun, mystery and excitement will fill the Bristol Riverside Theatre when The Amazing World of Magic takes the stage from July 19 – 23, 2006. Richard and Joanne Gustafson and their assistant Jeannie Boyle will dazzle audiences with a giant show featuring over 100 illusions and mysteries, augmented with stirring music and beautiful costumes and scenery.

This 2-hour extravaganza is the perfect family show, designed for people of all ages. Pretty ladies will appear and disappear and float in the air. A woman will be twisted into a 4-inch diameter pretzel and a girl’s arms and legs, and head will be moved far from the rest of her body … accompanied by gales of laughter from the audience. Colorful exotic magic and illusions from China and the Middle East, a sparkling, dynamic tribute to the good old U.S.A. and a glittering circus-themed finale will be featured.

Volunteers from the audience will have a chance to get into the act, too, as they step to the stage to take part in uproariously funny routines.

The Amazing World of Magic stars the Gustafson’s, who achieved national prominence when they appeared on The Ed Sullivan Show in 1967. They have subsequently performed in 40 of the 50 United States, Monte Carlo, England, Singapore, Scandinavia, Canada, and the Caribbean. They’ve appeared on stage and TV with many top artists, including Joan Rivers, Myron Cohen, Johnny Mathis, John Gary, Shelly Berman, Buddy Greco and George Burns.

The Amazing World of Magic has a limited run that starts on July 19th and runs through July 23, 2006. Tickets are $20 each ($18 for BRT Members) and $10 for students. Additional information can be found online at www.BRTstage.org, or by calling the BRT Box Office at 215-785-0100.
