Bristol Riverside Theatre (BRT) in Historic Bristol Borough on the Delaware River waterfront is proud to add to its summer entertainment series the first annual BRT Weekend of Jazz, to be held June 24 and 25 at Bristol Riverside Theatre, 120 Radcliffe Street in Bristol, Bucks County.

Featured Saturday, June 24, is the Eric Mintel Quartet. Pianist and composer Eric Mintel and the Eric Mintel Quartet are “blazing a trail across the country” including appearances at the Kennedy Center and the White House. Jazz icon Dave Brubeck said, "As long as the music attracts dedicated young musicians like Eric Mintel, jazz will continue to thrive and progress as a voice of freedom."

At 2:00 PM, join the Eric Mintel Quartet for a Children's "Workshop" Concert with performances of the music of Vince Guaraldi from the classic Charlie Brown cartoons, music by Dave Brubeck and original compositions by Mintel. Also included will be a short talk for new audiences about how to listen to Jazz. Great for the new Jazz fan!

At 8:00 PM, Eric Mintel and the band again take the stage with their energetic, rhythmic and lyrical style, performing original jazz compositions by Mintel, classic jazz standards and the works of Dave Brubeck including “Take Five” and “Blue Rondo a la Turk.” More information about the Eric Mintel Quartet can be found at www.ericmintelquartet.com.

Sunday, June 25, at 3:00 PM enjoy the sultry jazz vocals of Donna Antonow and the Donna Antonow Duo. Donna has performed in and around the New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania area for many years in venues such as The Deerhead Inn, in Delaware Water Gap, PA, Shanghai Jazz in Madison, NJ, Trumpets, in Montclair, NJ and Eighty-Eight’s in New York City. The New Jersey Star-Ledger said, "Antonow's singing is distinctive, and quite eccentric.
