Simpatico Theatre Project is proud to announce their second production, the Philadelphia Premiere of Vietnam 101: The War on Campus by Rich Orloff. Vietnam 101: The War on Campus is a documentary theatre piece about one college community's journey during the Vietnam War years.

The Vietnam War rages in Southeast Asia, and stateside, the American people fight battles among themselves. Here, the experiences of more than 100 students come together to expose a country at war. One person’s point of view doesn’t say enough. But if we hear many stories, ask thousands of questions and really take the time to listen, maybe we can finally begin to understand. Over 50,000 American lives ended in Vietnam, and everyone was watching. But what did we learn? Vietnam 101. Take the course.

Simpatico Theatre Project collaborates with nonprofit organizations for each production to encourage action in the community and this production’s nonprofit partner is the New Voters Project. In support of NVP’s mission to increase young people’s participation in the political process, Simpatico Theatre Project will be offering voter registration after each performance. Additionally, we have other special events such as a talkback with the playwright, Rich Orloff on March 26th and a collection for The Lillian Booth Actors’ Home of the Actors’ Fund of America on March 31st to celebrate Edwin Forrest’s 200th birthday with the Theatre Alliance of Greater Philadelphia. Performances are Friday and Saturday nights at 8:00pm and Sundays at 2:00pm. For more ticket information please visit our website at www.simpaticotheatre.org.
