Ever since legendary theatre pioneer Charles Jones adapted the Dickens classic for Nebraska Theatre Caravan nearly three decades ago, the national touring production of A Christmas Carol has delighted audiences across America. By artfully combining elements of spectacle, music and dance, Jones created a stage version that not only delights children, but also transports audiences of all ages on a magical journey right alongside Ebenezer Scrooge.

With all the warmth and comfort of a cup of Christmas cheer, A Christmas Carol is packed with laughter, pageantry and gorgeous costumes. Every memorable detail of Dickens’ A Christmas Carol springs to life, from spine-chilling ghosts to heartfelt renditions of traditional British carols. Crotchety Scrooge, lovable Tiny Tim, and all the fascinating characters that audiences have come to love make Charles Dickens’ enchanting story a treasured holiday event.

Never has a theatrical performance embodied the warmth and joy of the season more brilliantly than this time-tested production. Like a three-dimensional Victorian Christmas card that magically unfolds, this staging of the Dickens tale evokes both the chilling poverty and luxurious wealth of 19th Century London as a thrilling backdrop to the spellbinding fable of Ebenezer Scrooge, a lonely man who is given the rarest of gifts… the chance to change his life and to find his heart.

Most families can’t imagine Christmas without a retelling of this enchanting tale, which combines comedy, pathos, and a heartwarming finale. And, thanks to literature’s most disarming ghosts, a mixture of the supernatural with the sentimental. Charles Dickens, after all, was the first to delight both children and grown-ups alike by revealing that there were ghostly spirits involved in the mystery of Christmas spirit.

The Nebraska Theatre Caravan’s national touring production of A Christmas Carol has been an American holiday tradition for over 25 years, entertaining thousands of families across the country. So join Ebenezer Scrooge on his unforgettable magical journey and his discovery of the true meaning of Christmas in a stage show that has become one of the most treasured family gifts of the season.

Performance Schedule:
Friday, Saturday and Monday nights at 7 PM
Saturday and Sunday matinees at 2 PM
