Hedgerow Theatre presents The Hound of the Baskervilles September 23 - October 30 For Immediate Release: September 7, 2005 Hedgerow Theatre, the oldest repertory theatre in America, proudly presents Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s classic suspense story The Hound of the Baskervilles Sept. 23-Oct. 30, directed by Janet Kelsey. Performances are 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at Hedgerow Theatre, 64 Rose Valley Road, Media. Call 610-565-4211 for reservations. In this suspenseful masterpiece adapted by Tim Kelly, Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson face an ancient family curse, a desolate moor, a deranged killer on the loose and events threatening to spiral out of control. Guest Artist Tom Teti is master detective Sherlock Holmes. Mr. Teti, a member of People’s Light & Theatre Company, has performed extensively in the Philadelphia area and is currently teaching the teen class at the Hedgerow Theatre School on Saturday mornings. Hedgerow’s production will also feature ensemble member Zoran Kovcic as Dr. Watson, and theater fellows Henry Patrick Cathcart as Sir Henry Baskerville; Katie Chick as Kathy Stapleton, Kevin McAlexander as Jack Stapleton, Juliet Grey Kelsey as Mrs. Barrymore and Caroline Simmons as Laura Lyons. Also featured in the production are Spencer Gates of Paoli as Mr. Barrymore; Christine Emmert of Valley Forge as Lady Agatha and Rose Fairley of Swarthmore as Perkins. Tickets are $22 on Thursdays and Sundays and $25 on Friday and Saturdays, with $3 discounts for seniors and a $10 price for students under age 18. On Oct. 2, a pre-show tea at 1:30 p.m. will be held prior to the 2 p.m. show. A special Halloween party/performance is planned for Oct. 29.
