The Ward Studio is a professional actor training program specializing in the Meisner Approach. Established in 1996 by Studio Director, Wendy Ward, the Studio now offers training in New York, Philadelphia and Melbourne, Australia.
The Studio's performance arm, the Ward Studio Company, offers international internships to its finest students to create and perform original theatre produced in the U.S. and abroad. In its first season, the Ward Studio Company received two nominations for Outstanding Acting from New York Innovative Theatre Awards and became renowned for telling big stories in small spaces.
The company now boasts membership from the US, Australia, Germany, and Macedonia.
Their work has been described as “movies on stage,” in reference to their particular ability to perform with stark authenticity and an extraordinary esprit de corps.
