Founded in 1994, the Media Theatre is one of the largest presenters of professional music theatre in the Philadelphia region and in Southeastern Pennsylvania. The theatre, which started as a for-profit venture in '94, switched over to non-profit status in 2000. We have close to 400 Theatre School students from the surrounding area, which includes West Chester, Wilmington, and Delaware plus Montgomery counties. A past Barrymore Award winner (Featured Actress in a Musical, Jennie Eisenhower, for 'The Wild Party') we have received eleven Barrymore nominations. Thousands of school students from elementary to high school have attended our presentations in the past decade, becoming educated through music theatre by seeing live stage productions of shows such as The Wizard of OZ and Oklahoma! Tony winner and Il Divo member David Miller performed his first (and to this date only) solo concert here eight years ago, and our stage has also been home to Tony winners Betty Buckley and Judy Kaye. Our 2010-11 Season includes "Jekyll and Hyde: The Musical" with Patrick Ludt and Broadway's Trisha Jeffrey; "Annie" featuring Wanda Sykes as Miss Hannigan; "The Last Five Years" with Jennie Eisenhower; and "The Who's Tommy". Artistic Director Jesse Cline oversees all aspects of the theatre's stage presentations and theatre school, with a dedicated staff supervised by Patrick Ward. With
