Little Fish Theatre Collaborative was founded in 2003 by Producing Artistic Director Christopher Totora and Executive Director Shawn McGovern. Our first production was a post 9/11 look at Edward Albee's "The Zoo Story." Most recently Little Fish received accolades for our re-visioning of Richard O'Brien's "The Rocky Horror Show" with Bunraku Puppets. Called "Ridiculous Fun" and "Five Star Strange" by the Philadelphia Inquirer, "The Rocky Horror PUPPET Show" was a hit of the 2006 Philly Fringe and was honored by being chosen to perform in the 2007 New York International Fringe Festival. Little Fish is also proud of our highly successful Outreach Program and Children's Theatre productions. "Socks & The Rubber/Glue Spell" is our touring children's production which teaches tolerance and effective tactics for dealing with the playground bully. "Rock the Boat!" teaches Aquatic science through rock music. This concert-style performance features the original songs of our "Rock the Boat!" musicians. We have performed throughout the area, including a year-long residency at the Adventure Aquarium in Camden, NJ. We are also pleased to announce our collaboration with the New Jersey Academy for Aquatic Sciences on our newest outreach performance. Our education department offers workshops for grades K-12 in all aspects of the theatre arts. Some topics include; Movement for the Actor, Improv, Puppetry & Mask, Stage Lighting, Scene Construction, Stage Make-up, and Music.
