The Drama Group has been producing shows at The First United Methodist Church of Germantown in the historic Germantown section of Northwest Philadelphia since 1980. A small, dedicated group of theatre lovers, The Drama Group produces two shows each year, one in the fall and one in the spring. Those shows have ranged from comedies to dramas, from American classics to Shakespeare and, very often, to the little-known or seldom produced. The Drama Group has also become known for presenting plays on timely and sensitive issues. The Drama Group is an all volunteer company.

The Drama Group's goal is to present quality, non-professional theatre and to challenge actors, directors and audiences with shows that are diverse, adventurous, and always worth seeing and talking about.
