Cityfest, Inc., producers of the Fringe Wilmington Festival, is a non-profit branch of the City of Wilmington created to promote economic development and community revitalization and improve the quality of life for the City through the arts, special events, and tourism. In addition to the Fringe Wilmington Festival, Cityfest, Inc. produces the annual DuPont Clifford Brown Jazz Festival and the Riverfront Blues Festival. Cityfest, Inc. also operates Theatre N at Nemours—Delaware’s only independent film theatre.

Fringe Wilmington connects adventurous audiences with adventurous artists. Fringe Wilmington audiences enjoy innovative, experimental, thought-provoking, and engaging art and performance in a wide range of traditional and nontraditional spaces. Fringe Wilmington artists benefit from a supportive environment in which they can explore the outer edges of their art—whatever their creative discipline or level of experience.
