A Pennsylvania native and current resident of Chester County, Cameron Munson has been entertaining since he was 7 years old. Munson studied under the direction of Jesse Cline at an early age, and since then has been in over a dozen stage productions, ranging from musicals to Shakespeare to Tennessee Williams. In 2008, Munson was awarded Best Actor at the West Chester Theatre Festival for his performance of Mr. Smith in Eugene Ionesco's absurd comedy "The Bald Soprano".
Aside from acting, Munson's other passion is filmmaking. "On My Honor", Cameron's short coming-of-age film was part of the Official Selection at the first annual West Chester Film Festival. In 2005, Cameron's short film "Explicit" won Best Picture at the Coatesville Film Festival. After graduating High School, Cameron studied film at the New York Film Academy Manhattan with a focus on film directing. After accumulating credits on stage and screen (both in front of, and behind the camera), Munson went on to study at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts Los Angeles to get more involved with his favorite aspect of filmmaking: working with actors.
During Summer 2010, Munson directed a children's version of 'PETER PAN' for the highly respected Sara Rose Academy of the Arts in Chester County, PA. The play starred 25 children ranging in age from 5 to 16. Cameron is also an active theatre actor and director in the Greater Philadelphia Area. 'HEIGHTS', a one-act play directed by Munson, was recently awarded with Best Ensemble and Best Play at the Barley Sheaf One-Act Festival 2011. During summer 2011, Cameron performed on stage in "The Last Sunday in June" with Quince Productions at the Shubin Theatre in Philadelphia.
Cameron has been teaching his popular filmmaking and acting courses with the Chester County Night School since 2010, where students are encouraged to create and explore their creativity through screenwriting, directing, and acting. Munson also teaches summer camps for kids with Kathy Wickline Casting of Philadelphia.
