Alan Holmes graduated from Bucknell University with majors in Theatre and Comparative Humanities. He is very interested in the intersection of performance and play when it comes to video games and other interactive media, on which he wrote his thesis. Alan has played Austin (True West) – a KCACTF regionally invited production where he was an Irene Ryan Scholarship regional finalist. Other favorite roles include Cladwell (Urinetown), Hanschen (Spring Awakening), Jack Worthing (Nobody’s Earnest) and Chorus Leader (The Firebugs). He understudied the role of Boy in Arden Theatre Company’s production of If You Give a Mouse a Cookie and also served as an Arden Professional Apprentice during the 2009-2010 season. He was seen in the 2010 Philadelphia Fringe Festival in an original musical, Week Between the Holidays. Alan has worked over-hire and backstage for Pig Iron Theatre Company, New Paradise Laboratories, Theatre Exile, Azuka, People’s Light and Theatre and InterAct Theatre Company.
