(7/14/2011) The Philadelphia Live Arts Festival is seeking a Volunteer Coordinator for our 2011 performing arts festival which runs from September 2 - 17. The VC is responsible for the recruitment, training, scheduling and supervision of the Festival volunteers and house managers, and for ensuring that all productions, performances, and special events in the Live Arts Festival have sufficient volunteer support. The VC is also responsible for maintaining the policies and positive front of house atmosphere required by the Festival. The VC must have excellent organizational and management ability, be able to work in a fast-paced environment and have good interpersonal skills. Front of house experience preferred, but not required. Knowledge of Tessitura a plus. The position is seasonal and begins in July on a part time basis and by mid-August becomes full time through the Festival.
