The Philadelphia Live Arts Festival and Philly Fringe supports artists, and brings the world’s newest and most cutting-edge cultural experiences to our city, amplifying the vibrancy of Philadelphia as a renowned cultural center and an unparalleled place to live, work, and visit. Founded in 1997, we serve local, national, and international artists of all disciplines and levels of achievement through the platforms of the Philadelphia Live Arts Festival, the Philly Fringe, and the LAB program. The 2011 Philadelphia Live Arts Festival and Philly Fringe runs September 2-17 and wouldn't be possible without the hundreds of amazing volunteers who team up with our small staff. Volunteers can earn Philadelphia Live Arts Festival ticket vouchers by performing these important roles: •Distribution: Distribute our Festival guide to Philadelphia neighborhoods and suburbs surrounding the city •Ushers: take tickets, hand out programs at shows + help house manager as needed •Ticket Sellers: sell tickets for a single performance •Fire Watch: sit at fire exits + provide evacuation assistance in the event of an emergency •Special Events: bartend and/or serve food at receptions, parties + other events •Box Office Greeter: sit behind the front window of the box office and answer any questions about the festival to those who pass by •Floaters: help out in the office as needed Please attend one of our two volunteer training meetings on: Thursday, August 18 at 6:30pm & Saturday, August 20 at 11:30am at our Volunteer Office located at the Prince Music Theater 1412 Chestnut St. Philadelphia, PA 19110 •You are not required to attend a meeting in order to volunteer, but it is helpful in making sure everyone is on the same page. You can also sign up for additional volunteer slots, ask questions and turn in volunteer forms at these meetings.
