(Posted 12/8/11) Come teach for the Meridee Winters School of Music (http://www.meridee-winters-school-of-music.com), where our slogan is "A Step Beyond," because every step of the way, that is what we strive for in our extraordinary lessons.
We are currently looking for friendly, responsible, talented teachers to teach both voice and piano to kids of all ages and levels.
"Teaching through MW over the last decade has not only allowed me to grow as a teacher and experience the joy and satisfaction of sharing music with my students, it has given me the flexibility to pursue my many other professional musical endeavors and build a multi-faceted, successful career." -Andrew L., MW Instructor, MRock Director and Local Singer/Songwriter
Teaching for the Meridee Winters School of Music is a fun and interesting opportunity to be creative, make music and work with kids while making great money.
All of our creative, vibrant lessons are held in students' homes during after-school hours. You do not need to be a concert pianist -- just friendly, organized, have your own reliable car, like kids, and have studied/played music extensively. This is a fun job with a creative, upbeat attitude, a positive work environment, and a great community of talented teachers.
Haven't taught before? Don't worry! Unlike our competitors, we provide you with a comprehensive training program with our world-class, exclusive teaching materials. We also provide you with educational materials and teaching supplies. (A unique teacher's kit full of a variety of teaching props, tools, and over 600 pages of original games, creative lesson books, activities and more.)
Do you need to be a virtuoso? No! When you're teaching a 7-year-old, energy and enthusiasm are far more important than your ability to sing O Mio Babbino Caro. In fact, a few of our most successful teachers have admitted that they almost didn't apply because they weren't sure if their skills were up to par. The moral of the story? Apply to the job -- you may be just what we're looking for.
