The technical director is responsible for the good working condition of all sound, lighting, rigging, and staging equipment. JOB TITLE: TECHNICAL DIRECTOR
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Associate Director
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Host artists and work closely to fulfill requested technical needs.
Oversee all mainstage and rental productions
Supervise House Manager and Technical Assistants during performances.
Work with all visiting technicians, artists, and managers to facilitate high quality performances to the satisfaction of the artist and the Bride.
Act as in-house Stage Manager for presentations by visiting artists.
Act as professional Lighting and/or Sound Designer for productions as needed.
Maintain general safety standards and L&I codes in all stage systems.
Supervise inventory and ordering of theatre supplies and tools.
Cost analysis of systems, coordinate budget with Executive Director.
Facilitate communication between in-house programs regarding show needs and Associate Director.
Responsible for the good working condition of all sound, lighting, rigging, and Staging equipment within the PBAC inventory.
Maintain (clean and repair) technical equipment inventory.
Attend PBAC meetings: Programming, Staff, and Production.
Responsible for audience safety during public performances
Assist Rental Manager in the production of all rentals.
Liaison with the Supervise cleaning service. Order cleaning supplies as necessary.
Assist with gallery installations as necessary.
