College Apprentice Program - Delaware Shakespeare Festival

In association with its 2012 summer production of A Midsummer Night's Dream, DSF offers apprenticeships for college students who wish to start their careers before graduation. Apprentices work with the Festival’s professional directors, actors, designers, and staff to gain hands-on experience both on and off the stage. DSF offers performance, directing, production/stage management, and management/front-of-house apprenticeships. All apprenticeships besides management apprenticeships begin June 12, 2012. Managements apprenticeships begin July 7, 2012. Midsummer rehearses nights and weekends, and runs from July 13-28, with a tour performance in southern Delaware on August 2, 2012. All apprentices will be offered a series of Master Classes. Along with the professional DSF technical staff, ALL APPRENTICES will perform set-up and strike duties each day of tech and performances. Modest stipend. College credit may be available. Auditions for Acting Apprentices will be held on Saturday, February 25 from 10am-12:30pm. Interviews for non-performance positions will be held that afternoon from 1-4:30pm.
