From the mischievous mind of that grand outspoken 19th century American raconteur and humorist, Samuel Clemens (aka Mark Twain), comes a tall, wry and cautionary tale of race, class and identity set in a  small town in the 1850's during the time of slavery. David Wilson, (branded by the town as Pudd'n head Wilson), is a hapless attorney who harbors a peculiar fascination for reading palm prints. A slave 'mammy' named Roxy inadvertently set in motion a treacherous , tumbling mystery involving maternal deceit, mayhem and murder that threatens the fate of not one but two sets of seemingly identical twins as well as the fortune of the whole town of Dawson's Creek. The question ism can Pudd'nhead somehow finds a way to unravel the mystery ad restore his good name.
