This winter, Theatre Exile brings the Philadelphia premiere of Jason Wells’ The North Plan, a dizzying thrill ride of a show that asks What would ordinary Americans do if the U.S. government fell into tyranny? In a small-town Missouri jailhouse in the not-too-distant future, a wrongly imprisoned federal bureaucrat is desperate to escape so he can thwart an unspecified constitutional crisis. Paranoia, political commentary and dark humor paint the twists and turns of the play The Chicago Tribune calls “fun, smart, involving and just disturbing enough”. An audience favorite at Portland Centre Stage’s JAW Festival in 2010, this production will be directed by Joe Canuso with a press opening on February 20th 2012 at 8pm, in Christ Church Neighborhood House’s 4th floor theatre.
