The comedy-drama focuses on the difficulties faced by two young brothers forced to live with a group of eccentric relatives. Arty and Jay are left by their Father to contend with intimidating Grandma Kurnitz, childlike, scattered Aunt Bella, and her small-time hoodlum brother Louie, in a strange new world called Yonkers. Winner of the 1991 Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award.
